Updating the Insurance Plan from the Patient Lookup List
The patient’s insurance plan can be updated from the Patient Lookup List by following these steps:
- Select the patient’s name.
- Click on GoTo on the menu bar.
- Click on Primary Insurance Plan or Secondary Insurance Plan.
- Click on the Edit button to make any changes. For example, you can edit the coverage percentage for “Restorative”.
- You can click on the New button if you would like to type in a code, description, or fee. Fees entered here will overwrite your usual fees from Service Codes.
By modifying benefits for one patient, you have modified benefits for everyone with the same employer, insurance company, and group number!
