Insurance Plan Editing
A patient’s Insurance Plan can be edited by selecting their name on the Patient Lookup and clicking on GoTo on the menu bar. Select either Primary or Secondary Insurance Plan. This can also be done from their Patient Information screen.
The patient’s Insurance Plan can be also be edited from their Transaction screen as follows:
Click on in the bottom right corner of the Transaction screen. (Click on S for secondary plan information.)
You can change coverage percentages or maximum dollar amounts from here, as well as enter fees for Managed Care plans.
When you edit the Insurance Plan, you are also changing it for everyone who has the same employer, insurance company, and group number.
Tip: Click on the Printer button on the Insurance Plan screen to print the insurance plan information for the patient.
