To Do List Explanation

< Back

The To Do List is an internal tracking system which is used for patient management and for instant report tracking, as well as for interoffice tracking.

Other information, such as Recall, Treatment Status, Refer In/Out, Budget Plan, and Appointment List, is also tracked automatically in your To Do List.

Note: The Supervisor can assign login rights for access to the Refer In/Out, Recall, and Treatment Status lists. Anyone can access the To Do List tab, Budget Plan, and Appointment tab.

The To Do List is accessed from the Patient Lookup List, Patient Information Screen and Patient Transaction Screen, as well as several other screens within the program. The To Do List icon  found on the menu bars of these screens will automatically open to the last tab you accessed.

When you click on the To Do List icon, there will be seven tabs at the top of the screen. They are To Do List, Refer In/Out, Recall, Tx Status, Budget Plan, Appointments, and eReminders. Just click on a tab to view the list you need.

Anyone can access the To Do List tab and Budget Plan tab, but you must have rights to access the Recall, Refer In/Out, and Treatment Status reports in order to click on these tabs.

When you refer a patient out to a specialist, they will be tracked in the Refer In/Out list under their own specialty folder. The Refer Out must have a specialty name in order to see specialty folders. Note: Lab Cases can also be tracked in the To Do List under the Refer Out folder. This can be done by adding the name of your lab to your list of Refer Out names.

There are also specialty folders for Refer In names so that you can follow up regarding patients who have been referred into your office from other doctors.

You can click with the right mouse on the Refer In/Out tree view (on the left side) to quickly open a popup menu. You can then go to the Refer Out’s Information, Transaction, Notes, or Print Quick Letter.

You can access MOGO’s Instant Recall from the To Do List. All of your patients are automatically tracked in Recall folders based on their overdue Recall period.

The To Do List tab tracks patients based on the To Do List codes that you create in Service Codes. The codes you would like to track are “reminders” that are user defined. These “reminders” are created in Service Codes under the To Do List category and entered directly for an individual patient in the patient’s Transaction screen. You can also add patients directly from the To Do List. You will also be able to enter a follow-up date when using To Do List codes and you will be able to link Related Notes to these codes for easy viewing. Tip: The Related Notes feature is in the right click menu!

As an example of codes under the To Do List tab, you can set up To Do List codes to use as message list for the doctor and staff members or to keep a list of patients who have “promised to pay”.

You can click with the right mouse on any name (shown on the right side of the screen) when you are viewing the To Do List in order to open a popup menu of choices. This will allow you to quickly “Enter Related Notes” or “Forward” the code to another list, for example. Icons are also available at the top of the To Do List window for many of the features, and there are features in the menu bar. You can even change the font size and style from Setup on the menu bar.

You can also refer a patient out to a Refer Out source by clicking with the right mouse on any name (names are listed on the right side of the screen) when you are viewing the To Do List and selecting “Edit Refer Out” from the popup menu. The patient would then be tracked under the Refer Out folder by specialty under the Refer In/Out tab.
