Notes – Icons

< Back

The icons in the toolbar at the top of  Notes will allow you to quickly add new Notes, save Notes, save and exit, and even view Notes for all family members from one screen.

There is also a menu bar at the top of the Notes screen. For example, you can print selected Notes from File and Reprint on the menu bar.

You can right click on any column in the Notes list to open a popup menu of options. For example, you could quickly resort the Notes according to a specific category or sub-category.

Tip: Point to any icon and a tool tips window will describe that icon!

The Delete icon is only shown if you are logged in as the Supervisor. Note: The Supervisor can assign the right to Edit Existing Comments/Notes when setting up login names and Passwords. There is an option to Delete on the right click menu on the Notes list if you have been given rights to Edit Existing Comments/Notes.

New – Click one time to enter a new Note for this patient. There will be white box at the bottom of the screen to type your Notes. You do not have to enter the date and time. MOGO will do this for you. This is also available in the right click menu from the Notes list and in the menu bar. Tip: After clicking on “New”, you can mark where you want to save the Note. The cabinet choices are Patient (default), Clinical, or Admin(istrative).

Save – MOGO will ask “Save Current Editing?” You will not exit the screen when you click on the Save icon. If you click on the “x” to close this screen, MOGO will ask if you want to save. The Save icon is “grayed out” if you have not made any changes. It is also under File from the menu bar.

Save and Exit – MOGO will ask “Save Current Editing?” After answering Yes or No, the screen will close.

Family Notes – This Summation symbol will show all family members on one screen. This is a great way to review Notes for the entire family in one step! If you are showing Family Notes, you can click again on this icon to change back to “Individual Notes”.

Open Filter Bar – Blank fields will open at the top of each column. You can type in a blank field in order to filter your Notes so that you are only viewing specific types of Notes. For example, if you type under the “Who” column you could view only those Notes documented by a specific staff member. Tip: If you cannot use the filter feature on a column, you will notice that it is “grayed out” when you click in the field.

Close Filter Bar – To close the Filter Bar.

E-Mail – To send a Note via e-mail. If you do not have rights to send e-mail, the e-mail icon will not be shown. The Supervisor can assign rights to send e-mail when setting up login names and Passwords.

Clinical Notes – The Clinical Chart Notes is a very useful feature to review your Clinical Documentation Notes for the selected patient on one easy-to-view screen. However, you can also customize this area so that you can view other types of Notes as well.
