To Charge Annual Interest

You will enter the amount of annual interest in the Account Type field on the Patient Information screen.

Enter I=xx (xx signifies the amount of annual interest). For example, to indicate 18% annual interest on an overdue balance, enter the following in this field:

I=12

This will charge the patient 1.5% on each of their monthly statements.

You can enter your annual interest under the Patient tab in Office Setup if you would like interest to default to all new patients. You can also assign interest to individual patients as needed.

Before printing statements, you will first apply interest from the Accounts Receivable Report.
