Rich Text Format (RTF)

< Back

Although the actual documents in the Word Processor are in Rich Text Format (RTF), by default they will be saved to the patient’s Notes in Text format (TXT). For example, when you print a Quick Letter, MOGO saves the letter to the patient’s Notes.

However, there is also an option to save your documents in the patient’s Notes in Rich Text format (RTF).

Keep in mind that saving in RTF will take more hard drive space. You may want to just save individual letters in RTF instead of setting it as your default.

The advantage of an RTF format is the ability to reselect images if letters are reprinted from patient Notes. Reprint is available under file in the menu bar from the patient’s Notes. Images that were previously selected for the letter will not be saved in Notes. However, when you reprint the letter, the Image window will open again so that you can reselect images.

In addition, the formatting, font size and font color that was used in the document will be saved in Notes. When you reprint, the original formatting, font size and font color will also be reprinted.
