Deductible – Percentage of Deductible

If you select the Percentage of Deductible option, you will notice that the estimated insurance coverage is increased when the treatment is entered on the patient’s Transaction screen. You would first need to go to Office Setup and click in the box to calculate a percentage of the deductible.

In the following example, the fee is $100.00, the insurance covers 80% of the fee, and the deductible is $25.00.

80% of $100.00 = $80.00

80% of $25.00 (deductible) = $20.00

$80.00 – $20.00 (deductible) = $60.00 (estimated insurance)

Patient Portion would then be $40.00
