Version 23: Server Edition

Download expires 11/30/2020.

Clicking the button above will download the MOGO Version 23: Server Edition installation disk.  This should be downloaded on your server computer. Keep in mind the disc is quite large, over 3 GB, so the download will take some time to complete.  Once downloaded, you will need to mount the disc image and run the installation (see instructions below). Prior to installation please verify your computers meet the v23 hardware requirements, and make sure to do a full back up of your server data. During installation all computers must be out of MOGO. Once installation is complete on your server, you will need to run the workstation setup file on each of your workstations. For installation instructions, see below. After installation you will need to call MOGO Support to register the upgrade within 7 days. 800-944-6646 option 2.

Step 1: Mounting MOGO2300.ISO

 

 

 

 

Right click on MOGO2300.iso and select Mount

Step 2: Running the Installer

 

 

 

 

 

Right click on Start and select Open (you can also double click on Start)

Step 3: Unmounting the .ISO

 

 

 

 

 

Once installation has finished, you can Unmount the installation disk image by right clicking the disk and selecting Eject

Server Installation Instructions

Please note:  We strongly recommend you run a thorough Error-Checking and Defragmentation on your server before installing the software. Before attempting to install, you will need to log in as a user with Administrative privileges or the actual Administrator. Please Note: To avoid having a conflict with any firewall you may have installed on the server, your hardware technician or network specialist will need to allow SQL Server traffic on TCP 1433 and UDP 1434.

  1. Mount the MOGO2300.iso file.
  2. From the mounted folder, run the Start.exe to begin installation.
  3. The installation program will first lead you through the following screens with different questions being asked. By clicking ‘next’, ‘yes’ or the appropriate answer you are accepting the information on the screen and forwarding the installation process:
    1. MOGO Windows, click ‘Install’.
    2. InstallSheild Wizard – Preparing to install. The installation may prompt you to install the most current Windows .NET Framework, SQL Server, and Windows Installer, if not already installed on your computer. If prompted, proceed with the installation and reboot. If your computer reboots, the installation will continue automatically on startup. You will need to log back in as the same user after reboot.
    3. InstallShield Wizard – Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for MOGO Windows. The InstallShield Wizard will install MOGO Windows on your computer. To continue, click Next.
    4. MOGO License Agreement – Mark “I accept the terms of the agreement” then click Next.
    5. Enter User Name and Company Name. It is recommended that you install this application for “Anyone who uses this computer”. Click Next.
    6. Install MOGO Windows to the default location. To install to this folder, click Next.  To install to a different folder, click Change and select another folder. ( Make sure that the location is where MOGO was previously installed on your system)
    7. Setup Type: Choose how you would like to install MOGO Windows
      • 1. New User Installation 2. Existing User Upgrade, Click Next.
    8. Select Program Folders:
      • Program Folder Default – MOGO Windows
      • Existing Folders Default – Accessories
      • Manually type in any changes
    9. Start copying files. Setup has enough information to start, click Next.
    10. MOGO is configuring your software installation. (This will take several minutes.) Please note: The Compiling Assemblies may take several minutes to complete.
    11. A message may appear stating the setup has detected a previous version of Uninstalling these files is highly recommended.  Click Yes to remove the previous version workstation files.  A message may appear stating this action will completely remove the copy of MOGO Windows in c:\program files\MOGO windows.  Click Yes to continue with the removal of the old version workstation files. Please note: Your Data files have not been removed. MOGO Windows is configuring your new software installation.  The screens may change periodically informing you of the status of the MOGO Windows configuration.  This will take several minutes.  You may receive a screen stating files are in use, please verify all computers have exited the MOGO program, then click ignore.
    12. You may select to check for updates at this time. If you have Internet access you can use the MOGO Update Service to automatically check for program updates. At this point of the setup, you may be prompted to reboot the computer before any program updates are installed.
    13. Installation is finished. Click Finish to exit.   Double click on the MOGO icon and open the MOGO program.
    14. Open the MOGO program on the Server

***NOTE: ONCE THE UPDATE IS COMPLETE YOU WILL NEED TO CALL TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO REGISTER THE UPDATE WITHIN 7 DAYS.***

Workstation Installation Instructions
  1. Locate the MOGOWIN folder on your network drive
    • example M:\MOGOWIN
  2. Navigate to the extras folder and run the Workstation Setup
    • example M:\MOGOWIN\Extras\ws-setup.exe
  3. The installation program will first lead you through the following screens with different questions being asked. By clicking on ‘next’, ‘yes’ or the appropriate answer you are accepting the information on the screen and forwarding the installation process:
    1. InstallShield Wizard – Preparing to install. Click Next. The installation may prompt you to install the most current Windows .NET Framework if not already installed on your computer. If prompted, proceed with the installation and reboot. If your computer reboots, the installation will continue automatically on startup.
    2. InstallShield Wizard – Preparing to install. Click Next.
    3. MOGO License Agreement – Mark “I accept the terms of the agreement” then click Next.
    4. User information. Enter User Name and Company Name.  It is recommended that you install this application for “Anyone who uses this computer.” Click Next.
    5. Install MOGO Windows workstation files to:
    6. Choose the data path location, click Next.  This should be your network drive (i.e.: M:\MOGOWIN) To install to a different folder, click Change and select another folder.
    7. Start copying files. Setup has enough information to start…
    8. MOGO is configuring your new software installation this will take several minutes.
    9. Setup Type. Checking for SQL Server network location.  A message may appear, Setup was unable to locate a SQL Server on your network.  Search for SQL Server on your local network.  Select “Check for SQL Server again”. A message will appear if unable to locate the SQL Server you may select either to cancel the workstation setup or continue with the workstation setup with the understanding that MOGO Windows will not run but the workstation files will install anyway.
    10. Depending on your computer’s configuration you may get a window: “Additional Windows Components need to be installed for MOGO Windows to run…”
      • This may take several minutes. Once your desktop icons and taskbar appear, you will be able to run MOGO Windows. NOTE: MOGO will not run on this computer if you restart your computer before Windows Setup completes.
    11. Click ‘Finish’ to complete installation and restart your computer if prompted.
